North Lake City Council Hearing: November 17, 2025

 

On Monday, November 17, 2025, the City Council will hold a hearing on the recommended North Lake Specific Plan. The recommended North Lake Specific Plan includes goals, policies, regulations, development and design standards, and implementation actions that will shape the built environment for the area.  

On September 10, 2025, the Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the North Lake Specific Plan.

The recommended North Lake Specific Plan envisions high-density residential near the Metro A Line Station and medium-scale housing development on infill sites throughout the specific plan area, while preserving and celebrating historically significant properties and supporting an environment with more pedestrian-oriented streets.  The Specific Plan also calls for increased public investment to improve to public areas of the North Lake area to entice the surrounding community to support the businesses in the area.
